What’s the Du’a that makes a person loves you?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We are not aware of any Hadeeth about what you asked, but the texts of the Sharee'ah indicate that the hearts of the people are between two Fingers of Ar-Rahman (i.e. Allaah), as the Prophet informed us. Therefore, whoever wants to be loved by human beings, the easiest way to that is to seek the pleasure of Allaah, The Most-High.
Al-Bukhari and Muslim, reported that Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: "If Allaah loves a person, He calls Jibreel (Gabriel) and tells him: "Allaah loves such and such person, so love him." So, Jibreel will love him, and calls the angels in the heavens, "Allah loves such and such person so love him", then the angels love him, and he (the person) will be accepted (and tolerated) on earth (i.e. his affairs will be made easy for him). This is in general.
However, in particular, there are some actions if performed by a brother towards another brother (or a sister towards another sister) this will lead to sowing the seeds of love between them, and making this love increase:
- To spread Salaam on him whenever you meet him; Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: “You will not enter Paradise unless you believe, and you will not believe unless you love each other. Shall I tell you about something if you do it you will love each other, spread Salaam amongst yourselves.” [Muslim, At-Tirmithi, Abu Daawood and Ibn Maajah]
- Giving presents: The Prophet said: “Exchange presents between one another, you will love each other.” [Al-Bukhari and Abu Ya’la and Al-Albaani, and narrated by Abu Hurayrah ]
- To call one another by their best names and to make room for them if they sit beside you. 'Umar said: "There are three things which will make the love of your brother sincere to you: to say Salaam to him when you meet him, to make room for him when he wants to sit down, and to call him by the best names to him." [Al-Bayhaqi]
There is no doubt that smiling, saying good words, and keeping good social relations, all of this leads to the increase of love between brothers. We advise you, therefore, to inform your brother that you love him. The Prophet said: “If one of you loves his brother (in Islam), he has to tell him so.” [At-Tirmithi, and narrated by Miqdaam Ibn Mu'di Karb]
For more benefit, we remind you of the Hadeeth narrated by Anas who said: the Prophet said: “If two brothers love each other for the sake of Allaah, then the brother who is better loved by Allaah is the one who loves the other brother more than he (the other brother) loves him.” [Al-Bukhari, Al-Haakim and Al-Albaani]
Allaah Knows best.
