All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, we ask Allaah to make for you a way out of your sorrow and difficulty and cure you from your disease.
You should know that not every difficulty that befalls a person is due to a sin that he has committed; rather, it might be just a trial from Allaah in order to test the patience of the person. If he is patient, then this will wipe out his sins and raise his degrees; so remembering the excellence of patience will help relieve the difficulty; for more benefit, on the excellence of patience, please refer to Fataawa 83577 and 85445.
However, if you had committed sins, you should repent and seek Allaah’s Forgiveness as much as possible as this is one of best ways to get rid of the difficulty; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 87903. Hence, you should not blame yourself for what happened; rather, you should say that this was predestined and decreed by Allaah.
If a person is afflicted, then he should turn to Allaah and show meekness and poverty to Him. In fact, what happened to you is the contrary, as you mentioned that after your affliction with this disease, you abandoned the prayer and this is a very serious matter and a grave major sin. So, you are obliged to repent and observe the prayer constantly. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 81555 and 83943.
Moreover, we advise you to take it easy because the stress increases such a disease as it is known, and you should remember that many people who have contracted this disease continue their life as if nothing had happened.
Being very concerned with this disease in addition to the other problems that you might have led to your depression. Therefore, we advise you to consult a psychologist and he will help you relieve your anxiety, Allaah willing.
We also advise you to take the initiative to marry and you should be keen on marrying a pious woman who will help you in your worldly matters as well as in your religious matters.
Furthermore, you are not obliged to inform your wife or her family about this disease, and it is better not to inform your parents about it. Also, you should not leave your work and return to your country just because you are afflicted with this disease especially that you mentioned that your family need your financial support.
As regards what you mentioned about ablution, then if the matter is just an illusion and whispers that you have not performed your ablution correctly, then you should not pay any attention to them.
Allaah Knows best.
