Temporary Birth Control Can Be Permissible
Assalamualikum, is it sinful if one does not have children because of very small income? What I want to say is that his salary can only support one child, so if he doesn't have another child because he would not be able to support the another child then is this person sinful? Verse [4:3] does not support birth control
The Prophet (saw) encouraged us in an authentic hadeeth to have many children so he can be proud of our numbers. How then can we respond to a writer who supports birth control by using Imam Shafi's tafsir of ayah 3 in surah nisa where the Imam says "so you do not become overburdened with financial dependents''.
