Question
My Grandfather passed away last week. May Allah SWT have mercy on him and grant him Jannah. My Grandfather was very, very religious. The last few minutes before he passed away on his bed he was talking to my relatives and told them he started seeing a huge, beautiful Masjid, rain and a garden with lots of green plants. What does that vision mean?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We hope that this is a sign of a good ending for your grandfather if he spoke the truth. We ask Allaah to forgive and have mercy on us and all the deceased Muslims. However, the belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal jamaa'ah is that they do not absolutely attest to anyone to enter Paradise or Hellfire unless with revelation, but they hope for goodness and mercy for the righteous people.
