Fatwa CenterCan not avoid committing sins since the girl he loves married another man
Question
Sheyk Please Advice me what To do. I was once very religous very good with worship sunna and everything with islam. untill i met a girl and became in love with her i wanted to marry her but the family refused me, so they married her to another men with the same tribe as the girl. sins then i did bad things, bad sins like watching bad video's masturbation, praying late sometimes, and i dont know how to get back the way i was with my religion i dont know how to do it, can't stop doing bad things. Sometimes i think why did Allah let her marry other man and why he instead of me? i cant ask this people i know. Please Advice me religious way.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, we ask Allaah to make us firm and steadfast on his religion and grant us with a happy end to our lives.
You should take it easy. If you sincerely want to repent and return to Allaah, Allaah will help you and enable you to do so. Allaah Says (what means): {…then if they had been true to Allaah, it would have been better for them.}[Quran 47:21]. Therefore, you should immediately take the initiative to repent from watching pornographic films, neglecting the prayers and other sins. However, you should not procrastinate as you never know when you will die, as the angel of death may come to you while you are committing those sins, and you will lose this world and the Hereafter. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 84845. In this Fatwa, you will find the things which will help you to sincerely repent and be steadfast on the religion of Allaah after earnestly supplicating Him and choosing a righteous company who will help you and urge you to do good, and keep you away from evil and warn you against it.
As regards not being able to marry that girl, it might be that this is good for you. It might be that if you married her, calamities and problems which you never expected would have befallen you; you should remember the Saying of Allaah (which means): {… and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allaah knows but you do not know.}[Quran 2:216]. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 90421.
Finally, you must forget this girl and you may benefit from the guidelines and advices which we mentioned in Fatwa 84544.
