Question
I had intercourse with my wife after her menses stopped but before she performed Ghusl (ritual bath), I knew this, but I could not be patient, so what is the ruling on this? I heard that I have to expiate for this sin by fasting two consecutive months. If I could not fast, what should I do?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
There is no expiation for whoever had intercourse with his wife after her menses stopped but before she performed Ghusl (ritual bath), but he should seek forgiveness from Allaah and repent.
