Can we give a shop for rent for motor insurance (not life insurance) company?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
There are two kinds of insurance: commercial insurance and cooperative insurance. Commercial Insurance is Haram and cooperative Insurance is permissible if it is conforms the Islamic jurisprudence requirements set by the scholars.
If this institution deals with cooperative insurance with its requirements then there is no harm in renting your shop to them. But if this institution is dealing with commercial insurance then it is not permissible for you to rent them your shop, because if you do so you are helping them in committing a sin, and Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {…Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression….}[5:2].
Allah knows best.
