Question
I want to know whether Ibn Seereen has written the book Interpretation of dreams? Is this book authentic?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
It is not proved the book of "Interpretation of Dreams" was written by Imam Muhammad Ibn Sireen (may Allah's mercy be upon him).
Imam al-Zahabi in his book Siyar a'alaam al-Nubalaa and Hafiz Ibn Kathir in his book al-Bidaya wa al-Nihaya (Two of the most well-known authentic Imams in this concern) did not mention the above-named book while writing the biography of Ibn Sireen . Also, we do not know any informed source that mentioned such a matter.
