My wife refuses to have sex with me. She thinks she has a right to refuse me and as a Muslim wife she has the same rights as I do (which I agree). The problem is that she keeps arguing with me, saying I am not a good husband and Islam permits her to say no to me when I need her for sex. She is willing to do all other duties as a wife.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Islam has established reciprocal rights for men and women. Allah Says in the Holy Qur'an ( And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable).[2:228]. In the same vein, the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said in the Farewell Hajj: " Verily, you have rights against your wives and your wives have rights against you". [al-Termizi and Ibn Majah]. Thus, if both sides give each other their dues in full, they will lead a happy life , and vice versa. So, dear brother, you have to give your wife her rights and to be sure that there is no negligence in this concern. On the other hand, she has to let you have your rights and to obey you but within lawful limitations, since this, in fact, is a form of obedience to Allah and His Messenger (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as he said: "A woman who does not give her husband his right is still considered neglectful of Allah's rights". [Reported by Ahmad]. By and large, you will lead a happy life, free of problems as long as you obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah knows best.
