Question
Assalamu Alaikum Is it halal to work in a grocery store that sells tobacco products but everything it sells is Halal?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
One shouldn’t feel at ease by working in such a grocery, as its income is mixed with what is lawful and unlawful. Therefore, you should advise the owner of the grocery to avoid this evil income. If he refuses to do so, you should try your best to find another job where you will feel at ease, as Allaah is Tayyib (which implies purity) and He accepts only that which is pure. Whoever fears Allaah, Allaah will make a way out to him and will provide him with sources which he never expects. Allaah Says (what means): {… And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.} [Quran 65:2-3].
