Fatwa Center‘Conceptual and practical foundations of Islam’
Question
Assalam o alakumMy question is what are the conceptual foundation of Islam ?And What are the practical foundation of Islam ? Plz me answer in brief as soon as possible
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
If you mean by “conceptual foundation of Islam,” the doctrinal foundation upon which Islam is established, then the term refers to the six pillars of faith, which are: the belief in Allah, His Angels, Scared Books, the Last Day, and the Qadar (Predestination and Divine Decree), [both] the good and the bad thereof.
If you mean by “practical foundation of Islam,” the practical pillars upon which Islam is established, then the term refers to the five pillars of Islam, which are: 1) The declaration of the two testimonies of faith (to bear witness that none is worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His Messenger), 2) establishing the Prayer, 3) paying the Zakah, 4) fasting the month of Ramadan, 5) and performing Hajj for those who can afford it.
If what you meant by “conceptual and practical foundations of Islam” is something else, please clarify.
