Fatwa CenterIn Paradise, those who die unmarried are joined in marriage
Question
Some of the brothers, who have recently started adhering to the teachings of Islam, say that if a man’s wife dies and she is a disbeliever, he will marry from the Hoor (women of Paradise). Their question is: when a Muslim woman’s husband who is a disbeliever dies whom will she marry in Paradise?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
If a woman dies without having a husband, Allaah The Almighty allows her to choose a husband from the men in Paradise who have died without having wives. As for men they are given the Hoor (the women of Paradise), hence there is no difference between the two of them.
