Small part of woman's legs or arms revealed in prayer

Question

Assalaamu alaykum. If I wear loose pants during the prayer, then the leg holes at the bottom are loose as well, so when I prostrate, if someone stands behind me and lies down and puts their face close to the floor, then they might be able to see a little bit of my leg by looking inside the leg holes, would that invalidate my prayer? Similarly, when I prostrate, I try to prostrate fully on my hands, so I sometimes slide my sleeves a little to remove them from my palms, and sometimes my sleeves slide up a little on their own, uncovering a portion of the insides and the sides of my hands, just below the wrists. However, they are not that apparent, and most of them is covered as I have my hands pressed to the floor in prostration. However, if, again, someone were to look closely and peek, then they would know that my hands are uncovered. In addition, as my sleeves are a little loose and do not hug my hands, then when I press them to the floor, they 'flatten', revealing a little bit of my hands as well. Do I need to repeat my prayers?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We fear that you are a little bit affected by Waswasah (obsessive whispers). If this is the case, then you should avoid them and not pay any attention to them.

Your prayer is not invalidated by what you mentioned in the question. Seeing the ‘Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered) from under the clothes does not harm, as has been stipulated by the jurists. Also, the unintentional exposure of a very small part of the ‘Awrah also does not harm, but if you feel that part of what you must cover becomes exposed during the prayer, then you should immediately cover it.

Allaah knows best.
