I have read many questions answers , but some thing is not clear, can you please explain to me 1. in Saudi if you have hit a car and other person car gets damage and you have to pay 50000 $ , if you don't have insurance, you will be in Jail till you pay back money , now how will a poor person pay back money even his job is gone now as he is in jail? what to do other than to have a third party insurance? if the law say, take valid insurance or go to Jail till you pay all money.....what to choose here? 2. my company sent me job offer letter (contract letter) saying you and your family medical is covered , I signed it, now they are giving insurance cards for me and my family, I did not ask them to give insurance, will I be on sin if I use these insurance? while as per agreement my company has to provide full medical assistance to me and my family (it was not mentioned in the contract that it will be thru insurance) considering the medical is so expensive here, what options I have?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Your question consists of two matters, the first being about a legal issue. In principle, you should refer to the organizations that specialize in legal queries and complaints.
Regarding insurance, not all kinds of insurance are forbidden. Some insurance is non-profit and permissible, and there is nothing wrong with purchasing it. Also, there is no blame if someone is compelled to purchase forbidden commercial insurance, such as mandatory insurance on cars. For more information, please refer to Fatwa 81425.
Regarding your question about the employment contract and the commitment of your employer to provide health care for you and your family, there is no harm in taking advantage of this right that you are owed from the company by means of insurance.
Allaah Knows best.
