How can I learn to treat others from Jinn possession and envy?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
There is no doubt that seeking to treat others who are suffering from Jinn possession, evil eye, and magic are acts by which one seeks closeness to Allaah The Almighty. This is so if the person intends to benefit people for the sake of Allaah The Almighty and hoping for His reward. On the authority of Jaabir the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that anyone who can help his fellow Muslim brother should do so. [Muslim]
The following are guidelines and instructions to anyone who wishes to pursue this path:
First, to embark upon this mission armed with knowledge and insight so as to be able to distinguish between truth and falsehood.
Second, to be sincere in seeking the reward of Allaah The Almighty by doing this act and not to be arrogant. It is permissible to take a fee in return for this Ruqyah, but the foremost intention should be seeking the pleasure of Allaah The Almighty.
Third, one should observe the Sharee’ah rules and regulations, especially with regard to treating women; such as, not to be in a seclusion with a non-Mahram (i.e., marriageable) woman and not to touch her body.
Finally, we ask Allaah The Almighty to guide the questioner and count him among the successful.
And Allaah Knows best.
