Question
Salam alaikum, I would like to know if this duaa is authentic: "La ilaha illallahu, ma ashadda barda hadhal yawm, allahumma ajirni min zamhariri jahannam (There is no deity except Allah. How cold is this day! O Allaah, protect me from the bitter cold section of Jahannam." BarakAllah feek!Salam alaikum, Nuha
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
This supplication is mentioned in a Hadeeth that was reported by Ibn As-Sunni in his book entitled “‘Amal Al-Yawm Wal-Laylah”, and it was also reported by others. However, it was classified as Dha’eef [weak] by As-Sakhaawi 
in his book entitled “Al-Maqaasid Al-Hasanah”, as well as by Shaykh Al-Albaani in his book entitled “Silsilat Al-Ahaadeeth Ath-Dha’eefah”.
