Fatwa CenterMuslims eliminating the Jews is a Sign of the Hour
Question
Many texts bear glad tidings that the Jews would be destroyed at the hands of Muslims in Palestine. Is this day near? What is the sign that this will happen? Will it be at the time of the Mahdi and the descent of 'Eesaa (Jesus), may Allaah exalt his mention?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is inevitable that the Jews will be destroyed at the hands of Muslims. This is a fact that was stated by the Prophet 
. In a Hadeeth (narration) on the authority of Abu Hurayrah 
the Prophet mentioned that the Hour would not come until the Muslims had fought the Jews so that the Jews would hide behind stones and trees which would say, "O Muslim! Servant of Allaah! There is a Jew behind me; come and kill him." Only Al-Gharqad Trees (Boxthorn) would not say that for it is the tree of the Jews. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
However, the texts made no reference to Palestine itself. The Hadeeth apparently implies that it is general and includes Palestine and other places.
It is not possible to set a fixed time [in which it will occur], since the Prophet did not do so. Instead, the Prophet listed it among the signs of the Hour that will take place at some time prior to it.
Among the most important signs is that the Muslims will return to their religion and adhere to the Quran and Sunnah (tradition) since victory is closely connected to this.
