All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The Sunnah is to combine between sending Salat upon the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (i.e. asking Allaah to send His Blessing and Mercy upon him) and sending Salaam to him (i.e. asking Allaah to grant peace to him), as Allaah Says (what means): {Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.}[Quran 33:56]
The scholars differed in opinion about sending Salat upon Prophets and Messengers other than the Prophet ; the majority of them are of the opinion that we should send Salat upon other Prophets in the same way we send Salat upon our Prophet Muhammad . They gave evidence of what Abdur-Razzaaq and Al-Bayhaqi reported that Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: “Send Salat upon the Prophets and Messengers of Allaah as Allaah sent them in the same way He sent me.” [Al-Albaani graded it as a sound Hadeeth]
There is no difference in this between the Arabic language and the English language or other languages; the ruling is the same. This is what we used to mention in general in our site, but if there is something different than this in some cases, then this is when speaking briefly and the matter is simple, praise be to Allaah.
Allaah Knows best.
