All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Whoever wakes up late and fears that if he performs Ghusl (i.e. ritual bath) the time of the prayer will elapse, he is still obliged to perform Ghusl even if the time of the prayer will elapse. This is the view of the majority of the scholars.
Therefore, you are obliged to make up for the prayer which you performed with Tayammum (i.e. dry ablution) while you had the ability to use water. You should not perform Tayammum again when there is water and when you are able to use it.
