"Intensify supplication" is not Saheeh

Question:

What is the status of the Hadeeth in which one is recommended to intensify supplications to Allaah The Almighty, since the one who knocks a lot on the door deserves that it be opened for him?
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

 

As far as we are aware, these words are not attributed to the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam; rather they are attributed to Abu Ad-Dardaa’ may Allaah be pleased with him. [Ibn Abi Shaybah and Al-Bayhaqi]
