Nenetheless, there are two more matters that should be mentioned here:
1- You did well by responding to your husband's request to sleep with you even though you were not interested in that. Indeed, the Sharee'ah orders the wife to respond to her husband when he calls her to bed. The Prophet said: "When a man calls his wife to his need, she must come to him even if she is on the furnace." [At-Tirmithi]
The Prophet also said: "If a husband calls his wife to bed (to have sexual intercourse with her) and she refuses, and he goes to bed angry with her, the angels will curse her until she gets up in the morning." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
2- If a wife dislikes her husband and fears that she will be neglegent about his obligatory rights on her, then she may ask him for Khul’, like the wife of Thaabit Bin Qays did with her husband. The Prophet asked her: "Will you return to him his garden [which she received as a dowry from him]?" She replied: "Yes". Then the Prophet ordered Thaabit to accept the garden and to divorce her." [Al-Bukhari]
Allaah Knows best.
