Has difficulty lowering his gaze from women

Question:

I am suffering from a big trouble, I a Muslim and I do believe in God I pray, I went to Umrah times I am engaged now, but when I was single and younger I went out with many girls and did mistakes, now I love my fiancée but I have a big desire to follow sluts in the street and talk to them but I run away when I feel that she will go with me, I am in a struggle with myself, I have a big desire everyday to follow bad girls by car and look at then but I didn't do any mistakes after engagement, please how can I red out of this obsessive behavior?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

 

Dear brother, looking at girls, talking to them, following them, etc. are dangerous sins while fornication is a shameful and obnoxious act which is strongly forbidden in Islam. For more details read Fataawa: 84281 and 82299.

You have to remind yourself of death which is not far from any human being. Whenever your feel temptation or seduction remind yourself of Allaah's surveillance, Who watches your every movement, and the angels who record all your deeds about which you will be questioned.

We advise you to repent sincerely as soon as possible since you are not aware of when you will face the agony of death. To know how to repent read Fataawa: 81467 and 83904.

We advise you to marry a pious girl as soon as possible and avoid all that could tempt you to indulge in evil. To protect yourself from the temptations read our Fataawa: 85277 and 85477.
