Various questions

Question:
I wish to ask you questions:
a) My senior aunt told me that whenever she closes her eyes, she sees faces of mostly men and no women (she can provide no explanation). Some look serious, some are happy with most beautiful expression, some are this or that. They never speak or say anything. I asked my youngest aunt. She confirmed that too except she said they are orange in colour like flame. Only appear at night. Again of various expressions. My uncle also said same thing except he said he sees scary faces. My aunt also said that when she read Ayat Al Kursi while seeing those faces, those faces began to disappear.
I told my Mum about this. She said it is sleeping disorder. I too sort of feel it is a sleeping disorder. However I would like to ask you about this- is this sleeping disorder or not? Never has this happened to my Mum or me or my dad or anyone. I always recite Ayat Al Kursi before bed three times. So does my Mum and Dad. Others not at all despite being reminded to read Ayat Al Kursi.
b) If I recite Ayat Al Kursi or any other Du'a, do I have to recite Surah Faatihah first? So if I repeat 3 times, so Surah Faatihah is repeated 3 times as well?
c) Going from point a, I know that Jinns are made of pure flame. Science shows pure flame to be blue. Could it be possible that the idol of the Hindus, Krishna could be a Jinn? He is always made and painted in a blue color and not in any other colour that's why.
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is his slave and messenger as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We supplicate Allaah to protect you and your family from evil and pour His blessings upon you.
What you mentioned might be a sleeping disorder or it might be from Jinn. For sleeping disorders you have to consult medical doctors, and they can guide you as to how to get rid of these problems.
At the same time there is no harm to use the verses of Qur'an and Prophetic supplication to protect yourself against jinn and evil eye. The details are mentioned in our Fataawa: 81643, 81667 and 81559.
Allaah knows best.
