All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
In principle it is permissible to work with non-Muslim news agency, as it is permissible to employ someone in return for wages. There is no prohibition for a Muslim to work for a non-Muslim in a job that does not humiliate or disgrace him, on the condition that this work is Islamicly permissible. 'Ali Ibn Abu Taalib worked for a Jew, and for every draw of water from a well he received a date. When he informed the Prophet about this, he did not prohibit him from doing so. What is important is that a Muslim should observe the religious requirements while working in this agency. So he should not call to or propagate a sin, distort the truth, and edit or spread false news and hearsay.
Allaah knows best.
