Services cooling systems for beer, wine, and gays

Question:

I work as a refrigeration and air condition service engineer for an English company. We do service and maintenance on units that cool beer and wine. Sometime we work in places for gays. Can I do such work according to Shariah?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

 

Providing maintenance services to the refrigerators used for beer and wine or for the place of gays is not allowed.  The reason is that doing so is assisting in doing Haram, and the general ruling of Shariah is that any kind of assistance in committing Haram is not allowed.  Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {…Help you one another in Al­Birr and At­Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression….}[5:2].
