Effects of sin after returning from Hajj

Question:

Does making sins after returning from Hajj result in the Hajj not being accepted?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Committing sins does not revoke one’s Hajj, but a wise man completely rejects the return to the filth of sins after being purified by Allah.  The reward of Hajj Mabroor (without committing sins and violating the ruling of Shariah) is nothing but Jannah (Paradise) and the person who performs such a Hajj will return from his Hajj as pure from his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him.  The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "He who performs Hajj for Allah's pleasure and avoids all lewdness and sins will return after Hajj free from all sins as he was the day his mother gave birth to him." [Reported by Imams Bukhari and Muslim]

But if one apostates from Islam all his deeds become null; Hajj indeed is among them.  Here we do not mean uttering some Kufr words only, rather we mean every act that takes one out of Islam.  If one makes fun of the sacred matters of religion or does any action that implies Kufr, all his deeds become null.

Know that engaging oneself in doing good after Hajj is a sign of acceptance of the Hajj, because according to our Salaf's opinion: "One of the signs of acceptance of a good deed is doing further good deeds following it".

Allah knows best.
