Question:
If someone works in a store (as employee), can he take from the store goods ((that is considered as bonus, extra? The store doesn't pay price for it; it comes as bonus from other companies, for example the store buys 5 goods and gets one free from another company. Can the employee pay a small price for that in cash money to the store, and take it for his personal use, as shampoos or soaps...or its considered robbery?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
What the commercial companies give as a bonus or a gift to shops in return of their buying a volume of goods is the property of the shops and the agents have no rights over it. So agents should not take anything except with the consent of the owner of the shop.
Allah knows best.
