All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, is His slave and Messenger.
The meaning of “Mubaasharah” in the Sharee'ah differs according to the context in which it is mentioned. It may mean the touching of the skin only and not an actual intercourse. The evidence for this is the Hadeeth which states that the Prophet “used to kiss and do Mubaasharah while fasting.” referring to him embracing his wives and part of his skin (body) would directly touch part of their skin.
Mubaasharah may Also mean intercourse, as in the Saying of Allah (which means): {So now, Baashiroohun (extracted from Mubaasharah) and seek that which Allah has decreed for you.} [Quran 2:187]
Ibn Katheer said about the interpretation of this verse: {Baashiroohun}, means have intercourse with them.” [End of quote]
