All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Some scholars permitted drawing images of living beings that are not clear. The view that we adopt here in Islamweb is that it is permissible to draw the face without its features, such as the eyes, nose, and ears, and that this is not considered to be competing with the creation of Allah, especially if it is done for the purpose of educating the young.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: “If the image is not clear, meaning: it does not have the eye, nose, mouth and the fingers, then it is not a complete image, and it is not considered to be competing with the creation of Allah the Almighty [..] If the image is not clear, even if it has limbs or a head or neck, but there are no eyes or nose, then there is nothing wrong with it, because it is not competing with the creation of Allah.” [End of quote -from Majmoo‘ Fataawa]
