All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
We implore Allaah to bless you with success in your endeavors. We advise you to repent to Allaah and seek His forgiveness as far as your transgression against the right of Allaah is concerned and to supplicate for your friend to a good effect and to seek forgiveness from him as far as your transgression against his right is concerned.
Ibn Taymiyyah wrote, “When the individual fails to fulfill the rights of his relatives, wife, children, neighbors, or friends over him, he should supplicate Allaah for them to a good effect.”
For more benefit, please refer to fatwa 300991.
You should seek your friend's pardon and forgiveness. If he refuses to forgive you and pardon your transgression against him, then hopefully Allaah will fulfill his rights over you and compensate him for your transgression Himself if you sincerely repented to Allaah. Allaah, The Exalted, says (what means): {So fear Allaah as much as you are able...} [Quran 64:16]
It is praiseworthy to try to advise your friend, even if indirectly, by means of sending him daʻwah (proselytization) messages and heart-softening videos, or the like; hopefully, Allaah will open his heart to guidance through you.
If you fear Allaah and repent to Him of your sin, then you are not harmed in the slightest by your friend's state afterwards.
Allaah knows best.
