All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Al-Haakim reported this Hadeeth in his Taareekh, Ad-Daylami as related by Ibn ‘Abbaas and As-Suyooti in his Al-Jaami‘ Al-Kabeer. The Hadeeth is weak as its chain of narrators includes Nahshal ibn Sa‘eed whom Is-haaq ibn Rahawayh declared a liar. Ath-Thahabi said about it: “Weak.” Ibn Hajar said: “It is to be neglected as its chain of narrators includes Al-Hasan ibn Haaroon who is unknown.”
Al-Albaani declared it fabricated in his revision of Al-Mishkaat. Also, Al-Fattani said in his Tadhkirat Al-Mawdhoo‘aat: “Its chain of narrators includes a man named Nahshal and he is a liar.”
Allaah Knows best.
