All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We stated in previous Fataawa that we excluded from the forbidden shaping of the eyebrows the case when the density of the hair of the eyebrows reaches an extent that is unusual and is considered a deformity to the face. In this case, it is permissible to minimize it only to the extent of removing the deformity.
Accordingly, if you are able to determine this exceptional kind of removing the eyebrows and limit yourselves to only this, then you can keep this service, though we recommend that you discontinue this service altogether to avoid the forbidden plucking of the eyebrows in some cases. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 81950, 84824 and 84865.
As regards the insistence of some of your female employees to provide the eyebrow plucking service, you must prevent them from doing so, even by dismissing them from work if they do not comply with your orders; otherwise, you will be sinful by allowing them do it, as it involves cooperating in sin and transgression.
As regards providing the service of temporary hair extensions, it is not permissible and you are obliged to stop this service permanently. Extending hair with other hair is emphatically forbidden, and the Prophet cursed those who do it for themselves or others, as he said: “May Allaah curse the women who attach hair to hair and the women to who get their hair attached, and may He curse the women who tattoo, and those who get tattooed.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 217561.
As regards just wearing a wig, the view we adopt here on Islamweb is that it is permissible as it does not involve the forbidden type of joining extensions to the hair. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 90912 and 97320.
Allaah Knows best.
