Prostatic fluid, like urine, can be purified with stones

Question:

I know that urine can be cleaned with tissues. Is this also true for wadi? Or is it that wadi must be washed with water? If it has to be washed with water, then if is washed directly with water, then the drops flying from that washing would certainly be naajis, but if we first clean it with tissues and then wash, would the drops which then fly from this washing be naajis? Please mention if it depends on whether the wadi is still wet or has dried. Also, please mention the same thing for urine, i.e. would the drops that fly from washing it after wiping it with tissue be naajis, if it had dried before wiping with tissue.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Istijmaar (purification with stones and the like) is sufficient for purification after urinating or discharging of Mathy (pre-ejaculatory fluid) or Wady (prostatic fluid) provided that one wipes three times and thereby removes the impurity. If there is a need to wipe the place more than three times in order to remove the impurity, then it is obligatory to wipe it until the impurity is removed. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 255454.

If however one washes the urine, and likewise the Wady, with water, then the water that detaches from the water used to wash the impurity, if it detaches without changing from it, then it is deemed pure according to many of the scholars. This applies whether the person wipes with tissues before the purification or not. This view will help repel obsessive whisperings in this regard, and so we believe that there is no blame on you for following this scholarly view. Based on this view, the water drops that fly about during purification are considered pure unless you believe with certainty that they have been changed (in color, taste or smell) from the impurity.

Allaah Knows best.
