All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

It appears from the question that you are not asking about the division of the inheritance of a deceased person but rather about the division of your inheritance after your death. If this is the case, you should not trouble yourself with the division of your inheritance while you are still alive, as you are not Islamically required to clarify how it should be divided, and you are not considered as being unjust to your heirs if you do not do so.

It is known that your circumstances may change, as you may acquire another heir before you die, or one of the heirs whom you mentioned may die before you. Hence, you should not guess how to divide the inheritance of a living person; as our righteous predecessors used to dislike questions about things that did not occur. If they were asked about something that did not yet take place, they would say: leave it until it happens.

Nonetheless, we will give you a general answer and we will say: If someone dies and leaves behind a wife, 5 daughters and two full-sisters, then his wife gets one-eighth of the inheritance and his daughters get two-thirds to be divided equally between them. The remainder should be divided between the two full-sisters equally. The sons and daughters of the daughters (i.e. your grandchildren) are not entitled to any part of the inheritance as they are not considered heirs; they do not have any legal share in the inheritance and they do not take anything from what remains of the inheritance after its division according to the Sharee‘ah.

Allaah Knows best.
