All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
First of all, we appreciate you trusting us and seeking our advice. We hope to answer your question and provide you with some guidelines that will benefit you.
One of the major reasons for the devil controlling humans is disbelief [in God (Allaah)] and sins. Hence, when faith is instilled in the heart and the heart is enlightened with it, this repels the devil away from the person.
Islam is the true religion, which Allaah made to be the final of all of the divine religions. We believe that you have a sound mind that will lead you to what is good, and we hope that this good will be for you to accept Islam. For more information on the evidence that Islam is the true religion, please refer to Fataawa 81979, 88906 and 88051.
Secondly, the devil gains more control over the person if the person is afraid of him. Hence, you should not hesitate to get married, no matter how scared you are of the devil. Taking the initiative to get married will make the devil retreat from you by the Will of Allaah.
Thirdly, we believe as Muslims that the devil gets weak when a person gives remembrance to Allaah; it is for this reason that we give remembrance to Allaah when we experience whispers from the devil. Allaah says in the Quran (what means): {And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allaah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.}[Quran 41:36]
Ruqyah (incantation for cures by Quran and Prophetic supplication), which includes invocations and supplications, can also be used to repels the plots and whispers of the devil.
