Message Body:: i need a piece of mind it would really mean alot for you to answer this i feel i have commited shirk i'm a new muslim convert and really love Islam and love Allah (S.W.T) well i do not know how to pray yet or anything , so i thought i would make my own up and then i love everything Allah (S.W.T) has created and i think in one or 2 occasions i had said thank you angels for being beside me or something like that but i know Allah (S.W.T) had put them there ofcourse then i had later realised that this could mean shirk i only thought shirk meant worshipping or going to another religion when once being a muslim I really had no idea and i only said thanks i was not worshipping them , and i feel i'm going to hell , i want to be a good muslim and want to trie my best and i hear i can not get forgiven even if it was unintional i cant sleep , cant live my life , want to kill myself
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, all perfect praise be to Allaah, Who guided you to Islam and we ask Him to make you firm and steadfast on His Religion until the day you meet Him.
Among the means of being grateful to Allaah for this bounty of being guided to Islam is to seek beneficial knowledge, perform good deeds and befriend righteous and pious people. For more benefit on how a Muslim could be a good servant of Allaah, please refer to Fataawa 85277 and 84807.
You should know that Allaah does not hold the people accountable for what they do without intending it or deliberately doing it; Allaah Says (what means): {And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended.}[Quran 33:5] Besides, Abu Tharr Al-Ghifaari 
narrated that the Prophet said: “Allaah forgives my nation things that they do by mistake, out of forgetfullness or by coercion.” [Ibn Maajah and Al-Bayhaqi]
If we presume that someone intended to do a sin, even if that sin were Kufr [an act of disbelief] or less than it, then whoever sincerely repents, Allaah accepts his repentance [and forgives him].
In addition to this, there is no Kufr [disbelief] or Shirk [associating partners with Allaah] in the expression which you mentioned in which you thanked the angels. If we presume that you really were helped by one of the angels or by any other creature in any given matter and you thanked him for that, then you have indeed done something praiseworthy. Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said: “The one who does not thank the people does not thank Allaah.” [Ahmad and Abu Daawood]
However, since the matter of the angels is a matter of the unseen, then it is not permissible for a Muslim to authoritatively assert that the one who did this good act for him is an angel except with evidence. For more benefit on what is really Shirk, please refer to Fataawa 30989 and 82456.
On the other hand, seeking religious knowledge is an obligation, so you are obligated to hasten to learn how to perform the rites of Islam, like the prayer and other religious obligations so that you worship your Lord with insight. For example, it is not permissible for a Muslim to delay the prayer from its prescribed fixed time without a sound reason, like forgetfulness or sleep.
Dear brother, you may seek the help of the Imaam of the mosque or any Islamic Center about the method of the prayer. We have in our site some Fataawa about the method of purification and prayer, like Fataawa 84841, 82245 and 85270, so please refer to them.
As regards committing suicide, then this is not a solution; rather, a Muslim loses his worldly life and his Hereafter by doing so. For more benefit on the seriousness and prohibition of committing suicide, please refer to Fatwa 22853.
To conclude, you should take it easy as the matter is very simple. The thoughts that you have are nothing but the whispers of the devil in order to spoil your worldly life and your religion, so you should be careful.
