All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
There is a difference of opinion among the scholars about the wind that comes out of the vagina of the woman whether or not it invalidates ablution. The Hanafi and Maaliki Schools of jurisprudence are of the view that it does not invalidate ablution as it is an unusual matter and because there is no explicit evidence that it invalidates ablution. Also, ablution is valid unless proven otherwise. But the Shaafi’i and Hanbali Schools of jurisprudence are of the view that it invalidates ablution for the general saying of the Prophet : ''If a person performed ablution, his ablution is not invalidated unless there is a sound or a smell (of passing wind).” [Muslim] This is also by analogy to all what comes out of the two passages [front and back private parts].
In any case, acting upon this (second) opinion is better in order to be on the safe side, and because its evidence is stronger, and so we consider it to be the preponderant one as per Fatwa 85887.
However, if this wind comes out of you continuously in a way that you do not have time for performing the prayer in a state of complete purity, then you have incontinence of wind; in this regard, please refer to Fatwa 129012.
Allaah Knows best.
