Knowing the Arabic language is not a condition for leading the prayer

dear brothers in al-Islam, alssalmou alikom what are the requirements ,in order , for a person to lead the salah inested the Imam.does the Arabic toung has importance in it. jazakom allah khira.. alssalmou alikom

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

 

We have already clarified in Fatwa 90830 the conditions which are required for leading the prayer, so please refer to it.

Knowing the Arabic language is not a condition for leading the prayer and the prayer is valid behind a non-Arab if he properly recites the Quran [adhering to the rules of recitation].
