Cheney Moved to Secure Location Due to Threat

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has been moved to an undisclosed secure location because of the latest threat of terrorist attacks, the White House said on Tuesday. (Read photo caption below) Spokesman Ari Fleischer said Cheney was moved to the location on Monday night after Attorney General John Ashcroft announced that new attacks were possible against U.S. targets in the next week.
``The vice president is at a secure location,'' Fleischer said. He said it was not clear how long Cheney would be there, describing his status as ``day by day.''
