Breaking fasting due to unbearable difficulty or inability to work

Question:

I work in Spain in the field of construction, which is one of the most difficult fields of work. We work in high temperatures and I consume about nine liters of water a day. I therefore believe that I will not be able to fast in Ramadan. Is it permissible for me not to fast? I want you to provide me with the answer taking the following factors into consideration:
-       It is very difficult for me to find another job.
-       I need money during the coming months to marry
-       The economic crisis that faces the world has made things worse.
-       The Muslims here face racism and discrimination in employment.

Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) is His Slave and Messenger.

When the month of Ramadan starts, you should have the intention of fasting every night. However, if you feel, during the daytime, that you will certainly or most likely not be able to continue your work while fasting, then you are allowed to break your fast.
Nevertheless, it is impermissible for you to have the intention of breaking the fast from the night before.
Allah Knows best.
