Conditions for guidance through Istikhaarah

Question:
I want to treat myself with the Quran but whenever I perform Istikhaarah I see no encouraging signs?
Fatwa:
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger.
Performing Istikhaarah prayer before doing any permissible deed is an act of Sunnah. A person should perform Istikhaarah prayer sincerely and fully surrendering to the will of Allah and relaying on Him. This will yield the best results for the person, whether that person does this deed or not.
There are no signs that should appear after praying the Istikhaarah prayer that would guide the person to what is right. Rather all a person is required to do is to perform the Istikhaarah prayer sincerely and to place his complete trust in Allah.
Allah Knows best.
