Supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi organized two protest marches in Cairo on Friday evening to the headquarters of Egypt's Military Intelligence and National Security apparatuses.
Marchers chanted slogans in support of the deposed leader and against army chief and Defense Minister Gen Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent at the scene.
Protesters also carried posters of Morsi and banners reading "Yes to legitimacy."
Last week, the military warned pro-Morsi demonstrators to stay away from military facilities, especially the Military Intelligence headquarters.
"These are secure installations of vital importance," army spokesman Ahmed Ali said in a statement. "Individuals approaching them or attempting to provoke those tasked with protecting them will be endangered."
The Friday marches are part of several rallies staged by pro-Morsi demonstrators to denounce the July 3 military coup that removed country's first elected president from office.
Thousands of Morsi supporters have continued to stage sit-ins in Cairo since the elected president was ousted by the army following mass protests against his regime.
Many of them remain camped out in Raabi'a al-Adawiya Square in eastern Cairo and Nahda Square in Giza.
