Fatwa CenterPerforming Hajj while suffering from Urine Incontinence
Question
as salam aleykumThere is a brother in his middle 20's and he thought he may need to apply for hajj as he has the means for it and he thought it might be good to go with his parents instead of going alone later. But of course he doesnt know when they would be selected, this year or in future.His concern is that he has some sickness with his urinary/prostate and time to time some very little (not even a drop) amount of liquid comes out of his private organe. He has been doing wudu for every prayer as he can not sense each time whether this liquid really came or not especially when he is outside he can not check He went to few doctors before but they either told him to move on, there is not such big problem or they couldn't diagnose the exact sickness. He doesn't know if he will ever get cured or not, Allahu alam.Now his worry is that he never been to Umrah nor Hajj but he heard that in Hajj it might be hard to find water for wudu each prayer. Do you think he should delay applying for hajj? Or he should just make tawakkul in Allah and apply this year even though he may have some hardships there but of course Allah knows best, maybe somehow his sickness will go away soon.What would you advice to him?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Hajj and 'Umrah are two obligations that must be performed immediately (i.e., whenever the person fulfills the conditions of performing them). Therefore, this person should hasten to go for Hajj and 'Umrah whenever he is capable. What is mentioned is not an excuse for him to delay Hajj and ‘Umrah.
If he is sure that he has discharged such drops, then he must perform ablution; otherwise, he does not have to check whether or not he did.
It is sufficient for him to act according to the principle that he has not discharged anything. But if he becomes absolutely certain that he had any discharges, then in this case, he should perform ablution.
In case he has continuous discharges in a way that he does not find a time to perform the prayer with correct purity, then he is suffering from incontinence of urine. Hence, he performs ablution for the prayer after its time has started, and prays with this ablution both the obligatory and supererogatory prayers he wishes to perform until the time of that prayer ends. It is not difficult to do so in the Haram (Ka’bah in Makkah), Allah willing. Yet, if this becomes difficult for him to do, then he may act according to the Maaliki School of jurisprudence who do not consider that it is an obligation to perform ablution for every prayer (for a person in that condition).
